    Headlights 1999 td5

    I have noticed that after running on high beam and spotties at night, I have dreadful vision on dipped headlights.
    My question is, are there any brighter dipped globes that I can fit.
    If there were a roo or anything else on the side of the road, there would be no chance of missing it at anything over sixty kms.

    Not a pleasent feeling that. Really only 2 fixes, (1) Install a relay into the headlight system with heaver cable to reduce voltage drop, like a Traxside system, or (2) convert to a 4300k hid headlights. How good are the reflecting on your headlights? It does degrade over time, moreso if moisture ingress is frequent, as in deep water crossings

    raised springs on the rear?

    My green one had a low beam cutoff that would slice a tomato,,
    The length of beam was terrible at any sort of speed.

    X2 on the Reflectors , though can usually be cleaned by removing headlamps and globes and wrapping rag dampened with metho around stiff wire
    I'm assuming they are adjusted correctly

    HID has crap CRI so certainly not an improvement at highway speeds - you won't see what you're about to hit till it's too late

    Which is why I made it the 2nd choice, but 4300k is a lot better in that dept than the big numbers all the hoons seem to want to run�� and what blinds most of us normal drivers.

    I've been running 90/100w globes for years and years. I hardly use the spotties now. If you do this, you can get away with running the standard wiring for a while, but it will melt the plugs on the back of the globes. You'll need to upgrade the loom. I use the Traxide one, and so far nothing has melted. If you do run these globes you must make sure they are aligned properly.

    Hi and thanks for your answers so far.
    I am running Cibe Oscar pencil beam driving lights and am happy with the high beam side of things. I also am running 130 hi beams but low beam in dismal.
    I wondered if I was dazzling my self with the hi beam but I don"t think so.
    Where do I buy the Trackside system?
    The reflectors are all good and and I only have SLS on standard settings.
    They are directed correctly.
    It just seems so dark on dipped lights.Can I use brighter low beams, of course, correctly directed?
