When you say stripped, do you mean the bolt head has rounded off?
If so, try a Metrich socket. I've had good results with those on rounded bolt heads.
You might need to heat the bolt to break any Loctite bond.
It all go to much topping up the auto trans fluid due to a leaky seal so I decided to fix it. Before I pull the auto out I was going to take the transfer case off first.
The three 17mm bolts on the back left are very tight. I had to use a large breaker bar and air compressor to get 2 out, the third (as always) is the tightest. Now it has stripped and is very hard to get to.
Its the top most out of the three.
Any Ideas how to get this bolt out? Thinking I may have to drop the auto and transfer case together.
Other thought are to use an easy out, but it may break and I pretty sure I couldnt get a drill in there). Or chemically welding a socket onto it?
Suggestions..

Sorry i meant 13mm and yes its rounded. A mate just lent me a socket bolt extractor. I got the bolt about 10mm out but the head is totally gone now. I didnt know about the locktite bond but now you mention it ill use some heat if i can get something else to grip on.
tighten up the other bolts first.
belt it with a hammer
then use a stud extractor
metrinch might work
as will an irwin style stud extrator
as ell as a cam spanner

Heat, irwin style stud remover then full hex sockit and heaps of swearing worked. Think ill stick to full hex sockets from now on. Thanks for the help.
