Nice work Thomas.
How does the indicator appear from the outside now? Is it darker with orange light/orange lens?
I suppose with a bright white LED light, it'd wash out the orange lens.
I have had an issue for the last 3 years with the front indicators in the body of my D2. The little pins inside the plug that plugs into the glober holder corrode away and snap off. After having to replace the globe holder and its plug twice in the last 3 years, it just happened again. I've had enough so i decided to replace the whole lot so to speak.
I took the lights out of the body and took them into the garage. I had tracked down some led trailer indicators from my local Autobarn store.
I cut out a section of the reflector in the back of the light. I used my dremel and a cutoff wheel.
I then wedged the new light into the hole and sealed it up and glued it with some black silicon sealant and stuck a waterproof plug on the end of the wire.
I also tidied up the bullbar blinker wiring and put it all into a single plug on the body end of the wiring.
I don't have any pics of it all in and working yet as I am waiting for the silicon to go off fully before i put them in. I did test the light on the battery to test the polarity of the wires and its certainly as bright if not brighter than the original. And there are no tiny little terminals to corrode away anymore!
Thanks for looking and I hope this may help you if you had the same problem as me.
Thomas

Good description and solution.
I have fitted LED globes (cool white)to the repeater lights on the front guards. They look almost green when the are on.
Cheers
