    Nanocom codes

    Hi

Can anybody shed any light on these codes

9.6 Inlet throttle open load (log)
13.6 Inlet throttle short circuit (Current)

I've never seen them before, and having just replaced my ECU I'm a little concerned.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I presume that the replacement ECM is from a vehicle made after late 2001 year cos that fault code is about the ILT (inlet air throttle) part of the EU3 modell EGRthe valve which is before the EGR valve, so if you have an early modell D2(which doesnt have ILT from factory) or you have later modell and still have the EGR on there's a problem with the ILT or if the EGR is blanked that's the reason for that fault code and simply neglect it

Thanks for the info, makes sense. I think I'll just be ignoring them.

Welcome, if your's is de-EGR'd the best would be to find somebody in the remap business who knows his job and load a non EGR map in the ECM cos as long as this fault code is 'current' the management "expects" different IAT readings than it really gets and it might addapt the fueling for the ILT fault situation, as long as that fault code is current the fueling might not be 100% perfect but not something to worry about as well... mine is de-EGR'd early modell and i made tests on it with various chips and ECMs and the best performance was with a fuel map which was addapted for the non EGR condition.

So do you think that maybe I now have an ecu that can be reprogrammed ? I was under the impression from the aulro member I got it from that it was to early to be?
    How do I tell? Nanocom?

See what's on the label... if it's with NNN...... it can be remapped through the OBD port if not it can be only chipped
