What's "the dreaded d4d knock :("?
The Injectors on the D4d engine start to go out of specs & can fail and when they do, they can put a hole in the piston... Mainly on the early D4D's but there is a few of the later ones starting to fail, but the ones I know of have all been chipped to get more out them....
I believe Idid say my d2 was a manual so no sports mode or any thing else I did give thought to a remap but don't trust them and would need convincing of there safety to my motor. As IRead through the posts here there are a lot of different points of view some here need to put their view across a bit more respectfully.
I Googled it and found a number of threads on other fora where users (including Robmacca) have had positive things to say about them.
However, when the good things said come from a reseller, my guard does go up. Is it the result of seat of the pants dyno effect? No idea.
I'd like to see real data.
What does it cost?

If so, then you are very much mistaken....
I can't believe the conversation this topic has bought up..... This device doesn't give u more power, etc. You have the same power as u had before installing the device, it just alters the throttle response, that's it....
Those that ridicule it without any 1st hand experience, need to be a little bit more open minded. I've given my 1st experience but not for LR's. I do not know if the same would apply to LR's, but odds are that it would...
