Radio, interior lights not working, fuses ok.

    Hello
I was replacing a blown interior light globe and the lights did not work. Also the radio stopped working, no power. I have checked both fuses and they look good, the fusible link is still there.
    Any ideas?
Also the clock lights up but the display is almost non existent.
I think I am having an engine mobiliser issue as I have to, on the odd occasion lock and unlock the car to get the starter motor to work.

Four different problems, but all today within a few minutes of each other. Could these be related?

    Regards

    Bo

    Just a thought

Had the same thing happen to me this afternoon, except mine is a D1.
I believe that your radio requires 2 power feeds, one aligned with the ignition and one that is a constant feed.
On my D1, the fuse that had blown was on the satellite fuse bank, fuse 6, which in my manual is trailer lights, a 20 amp fuse.
Hopefully someone with a D2 can confirm or otherwise for you.
    Cheers,
    Lee

I had an issue with a car I was working on not long ago with similar symptoms it was a fault in the under bonnet fuse box it caused the radio to stop working the interior lights out and the central locking wouldn't work

I don't know if its the same with the D2 , but the D1's used to have a problem like that when one of the bumper light globes was blown, if seems to run on the wire same system.

Might be a long shot but check the rear lights

    regards,
    Mario

Tell me exactly which fuses/FL you checked... the lights, radio and clock could be related the starter thing as long as you dont get the red led on dash when you try to crank it it's something else not immobiliser... that lock/unlock thing used to be coincidental and the problem is some bad contact at the solenoid lucar connector or main starter lead

meanwhile check fuse F26 too and swap relays R7(auxiliary) with R8(heated screen) for test

    dont just eyeball the fuse.
    replace it.
you'll never see a hairline fracture in the fuse

I had almost exactly the same problem last month. Replace fuse 20 in the box under the steering wheel.

x2 Eevos comment re hairline cracks as well.

Make that x3 for hairline cracks. Swapped out the fuses and all is good. I am one happy owner.
