In the UK, all the fellas running highly tuned td5 manual D2s run the V8 5th gear as it gives lower cruising RPM :)

So far running around the burbs 14.4 litres per 100k so a bit better than the 4.0. And that is with dodgy 02 sensors from when the 4.0 HG was shot and it was sending rawish fuel down to them...

Ok so the 31 inch tyres and 5 speed help. But that is with tjm bullbar, APT sidesteps, 100kg of gas gear in the back, recovery gear, roof racks, etc etc and 5 pax and 150kg of bags of cement, so its doing the business. Cheers
