    4.6 in the D2

Has anyone here got the 4.6 conversion in their D2??????? What other mods do you have & how have you found the improvement????????
Was talking to the boys at TRS today & think it's a much better way than a ****ty Chev.

By kind permission this thread has been moved to the D2 Forum,
My thread "Stack Height" has been merged making the thread a bit funny to read, but all the info is now in one place,
    Pedro The Swift.

ensure you trust the people doing the work,, dont rely on reputations.

yes there is a worthwhile difference in 600cc's,
better again with a proper 4.6 fuel map.

ensure the block is out of a 4.6 RR, (not 4L) the older the block the better. ensure whatever liners they use seal at the bottom.
use your heads, use ARP studs, use 4L pistons and rods to raise the compression, use MLS headgaskets, use Hylomar spray gasket, use 100lbs with 5 stages(the last is a repeat at 100lbs after the hylomar has set), use a new cam suitable to your application, use new valve springs, use a 88deg thermostat, use new hoses, use a Mark Adams flashed ECM(this will transform your motor), use whatever funds you have left to install sequential LPG,, use your new best friend at the servo to get great two for one deals, lastly use your last two dollars to buy a lucky rabbits foot.
