Thread: Rear interior light, blows the fuse.

Maybe some short in the bulb clusster which occurs only with the presence of the bulb?

How does it take the radio out? Do you mean the radio does not work when this fuse is blown or that the radio fuse blows as well?

It is a bit strange the rear interior light has anything to do with the radio. The only thing i can think of is an aftermarket radio that only turns off once you have opened the door, but again why only the rear light?

Surely it is a short before the bulb that does not make a connection until you are pushing on the interior light housing.

Have you got a multimeter? You can measure the current draw - put it on current (A not mA) and put it across the globe terminals.

The after market radio and interior lights are on the same fuse.
I put a multi meter across the globe to check for voltage and the fuse blew.

I have had a pm that if there is a grommet in the roof, (there is) that this may lead to corrosion. I need to check that out.
