CDL Issues with Disengaging

this is what ive been told.

i retro fitted CDL to my D2 but the lights never comes on when engaged, any ideas why?

Dodgy globe, wiring or switch.

The CDL light used to work in my 87 Rangie, last time I used it it didn't. Traction told me the CDL was still working.

The CDL switch wires may not be connected.

According to the sticker in my D2a it is not advised to engage or disengage CDL faster than 60 km/h. But your theory does make sense.

Interesting. I should read the instructions for my Classic to see what they say.

Real world experience tells me that CDL locking or unlocking is fine at any speed a Land Rover can go. By the same token, a part time 4wd Land Cruiser can be taken in and out of 4wd at any speed, provided the hubs are locked.
