    CDL engaged?

Hi everyone. Connected up my aftermarket cdl engage system last night. Finished doing the gear lever mods etc this morning and no light on dash.

Is the lever in the transfer case but no mechanism inside?

    Is the globe blown.

What is the best way of testing if cdl is actually in and engaged?

Going away sand dunes next week so if its an easy fix would love to hear.

    Thanks everyone.

My apologies if i dont answer straight away, I get distracted with work and sometimes dont check for hours.

    Thanks for your help.

Jack up one wheel, release parking brake. If cdl is engaged the wheel can not be spun by hand. If the wheel spins freely by hand then cdl is not engaged.

But only if your transmission or transfer case is in neutral, otherwise you'll be none the wiser.

Most common issue with retrofitted cdl linkage and no warning is not that it doesnt lock mechanically but the switch or it's circuit are the problem or missing, see if the switch on the top behind the spigot is well connected, if not find the connector and bridge the pins or give direct earth to the black/blue traced wire....if you got warning this way you need a new swicth or adjust the present one... it's important to get the proper switch cos there are 2 types...if no warning with earthed circuit the problem is with the wiring, if you don't find the plug you might need to route a wire untill a connector under the console and we'll speak then

Correct me if I'm wrong.... But are you sure the internals are in the TC? I think there are a couple years in the middle of the run that didn't have the internal bits in the TC ( I'm just learning about D2's)

As long as the diff-lock spigot is on the box it has the internals too, if no internals no spigot to hook the linkage to if you see what i mean
