Thread: Sls airbag issues

Yeah it's been happening for a while. Changed airbags for second hand ones to fix but think the thread in the block is to loose as it doesn't tighten anymore. Compressor is fine still.

Pedro,I often wonder if we have the same cloned vehicle.

It could be one or both of the new bags leaking.

I had the same issue; replaced a bag and then had a very slow leak. Couldn't trace the leak and after two months the new bag let go (very inconveniently 300ks from home). Now replacing both bags with BOSS as this is the second new bag to fail in just over two years.

Spray very soapy water near the base of the bag. Hopefully you won't see bubbles.

I've never seen one tear like that--

I'd pack it up and send it back to the manufacturer.

was the first bag the same fault?

Yeah I know it's not the bag as always the same side I've traced it to the block near compressor.

Pedro, I've sent photos to where I bought it from and hopefully they'll replace it under warranty. Rather a refund though as I've just finished fitting the BOSS bags.

The first bag was nowhere near as bad but it had thousands of tiny leaks. In fact, I think the first bag killed my compressor.
