    Factory winch cradle question.

    Howdy all.

I have just picked up a factory winch cradle, and I want to get some of these pin-locking tow points for the front of it, but I don't know what to call them or where to find them.

I have circled them in the picture below.

    Thanks all.

I think they are standard towing pins, i remember buying some from the farm shop in the UK but not seen them anywhere else.
Rating was about 3.5 ton IIRC .
I fitted one on the front of my old series 3

You nailed it Kelvo! Thanks mate.

Pedro - what you mean am I sure? Not sure what you are getting at mate ?

A follow up question - how important is the factory cross member (hollow steel tube that connects chassis at front) for when winch cradle is mounted? I have read that it is a necessity, but my cross member will not fit with the winch cradle fitted also. Could I just bolt a solid piece of steel between the two chassis struts? I would have thought that the rigidity of the winch cradle would be sufficient for structural integrity anyway - heaps of bullbars do away with the cross member right?

    Thanks all.
