    Offside rear door won't unlock.....

    Hi There,
The offside rear door won't unlock using the remote. The door locks fine, and will unlock when the lock button is held up and the internal door handle opened. The door then stays unlocked until the doors are locked again using the remote.

The lock button has a springy feel to it when pulled up and won't stay up unless the door handle is opened. 2002 D2 TD5 ES Auto

    Any ideas?

    Cheers Marty.

Mine started doing the exact same thing about a week ago. Problem for me was I had a load of stuff in the back because we are moving house. And my cargo barrier was still in placeOffside rear door won't unlock..... wasn't fun trying to get it open I tell you. So now it only unlocks sometimes. I think I maybe buying a new actuator as well.

the actuators are repairable but IMO it doesnt worth the hassle cos they are quite hard to be replaced in the side doors, the boot one is easyer so if anyone wants to go for it these are the motors Mabuchi Nichibo Door Lock Motor Short Long Flat D Round Collar FC280PC22125 | eBay , and here is the tutorial DIY: Door Lock Actuator - Internal Motor Replacement - North American Motoring
