If it had the black smoke from the beginning but this symptom with the 2000rpm came after it might not be caused by the AAP... you really need to plug in a tester imo
Have ordered one hopefully there when I get back from working away
My problem was resolved by replacing the AAP sensor. I didn't know it was faulty but it was reading a constant 100 on Nanocom.
Not to say this is what your problem will be, but it fixed mine. It is possible to disconnect the AAP sensor and drive around at less than full throttle but it will allow high revs. It did in my case anyway.
Ok just let everyone know put tester on found the Ne maf sensor had failed after two weeks fitted new maf runs fantastic thanks for all your help
