    disco 2 td5

    Hi All,

I have just replaced injector seals and washers and can't start engine.
Injectors fitted in order and tensioned.
I have reset injectors, purged fuel system and pump seems to be primed ok as there is no excessive noise from the pump.
I have connected my Nanocom and I am getting the code (31). Open circuit detected on all 5 injectors. Have checked the fuses for engine and ok.
unplugged and used terminal cleaner on injector harness which is relatively new and has no oil visible.
Will the engine relay give me that fault?
Would the cam angle sensor give me the error if it has suddenly failed?
Can anyone give me any additional clue on what I am missing. Seems to me I am overlooking something obvious,

    Cheers

    Devo

Have you plugged in your inj harness to the injectors, and the head terminal?.
    No cam sensor on td5

Yes have cleaned the Injector harness plug with contact cleaner and checked it again. Would the crank angle sensor give this error?

Nothing else than injector open circuit would give you those fault codes as the ECU monitors the solenoids... imo the question is if you are 100% sure that you plugged each injector's solenoid to the harness before you refitted the rocker cover?

You can try to fire the injectors one by one with nanocom and if you dont hear the click the circuit between the ECM and solenoids is open somewhere

Starting to sort this out. Have made a little progress. Took value cover off, checked injector connections ok. Sprayed all with terminal cleaner just in case but could not see a fault. Back together. Pressed the inertia button. Turned engine over with no faults recorded on the Nanocom. Fired the injectors with Nanocom and all give a click. Tries to start again but still no go. Just winds over with no hint of firing. Starting to tear what little hair I have left out.
I parked it up running ok but run out of ideas now.

You probably know this but have you done the ign on acc pedal to the floor 5 times fuel bleed , do that then ign off , back on and crank with full throttle , should start. .
