I promise I'm not lying lol
I wanted to keep close to stock size so speed wasn't out, most of my driving is city anyway unfortunately so bigger doesn't pay off. Haven't been stuck out bush yet with them.
Im interested what ratio`s you changed too ?
The reason i ask is i have 2 sets of wheels and tyres the standard 29" all terrains (road wheels) and 265/75/16" off road mud tyres . I find with the muds on it is way over geared . I do have a set 4.11`s gears sitting in the shed but are concerened it would be under geared . I dont have a issue running the 265/75/ permantly.
Im also thinking down the road of a Jose turbo and remap latter ;)
Definitely makes a difference the bigger you go.
On another note, I may be selling these wheels and tyres pretty soon if you're in the market? 10k kms old, spare brand new. Have a matching 6th wheel with excellent Michelin.

Just a word of caution. A lot of 70 profile tyres don't meet the load ratings. Please check before you commit.
For note my 245/75/16 BFG A/T appear to read spot on with my gps speeds.
My 265/75/16 BFG M/T overread by 10% as previously mentioned.
Chris, I changed to 3.90 ratios from Great Basin Rovers Utah, the gearing is ever so slightly lower than stock but it suits a manual car well. My car has a map by Jose.
A word of caution though, they're not up to the quality of factory gears, my diff guy spent ages to get a semi decent contact pattern. But I guess that goes for all the after market sets...
245/70 will look a little small if the vehicle came up 2 inches from factory. Mine looks well balanced at 245/75/16 but i certainly would not want smaller. Fuel economy is better for highway but with a manual the 235/70/16 was a weapon off the line...love to see how that gearing would be with the 4.6.
Cheers
