    How does a 245/70r16 tire look on a 2" lifted disco 2?

Looking for a set of tires for my new 16 wheels... The 245/70 is a lot cheaper than other options... How does it look in a lifted disco 2?

They will be OK, but if you are concerned with looks and utility a 245.75x16 is better or a 255.70x16 which I have on mine.
Both are around 31+ inches so fill out the guards better on a 2 inch lift.
They give 5% speedo and ODO error.

    255/70*16 - 245/75*16 - 265/70*16 would look better !

I run 265/75 R16 with no troubles and fills guards nicely but does give a 10% speedo error

The bigger you go... the more your gearing will be out... and anyone that tells you it won't make a difference is lying!

I just spent $1800 changing diff ratios in my car. It's only on 265/75's.

But to answer the original question... the tyres will look small, but on the right rims (Polars) they will look ok.

I don't get it, and I think you are on the wrong track

    Hi Fellipe,
I think you have got your priorities wrong.
You want to dump a double-cardan front drive shaft, and accept that it is OK as long as you don't go off-road. Fine.
BUT: Then you worry about bigger, fatter, higher-profile tyres and a 2-inch left, which you will NEVER need if you are not off-road.
I think it would be a good idea to try to stay LOGICAL.
When you think about it, don't you agree?

AND; what does it really matter about how it looks???
Did you buy a Disco for what it is / can do, or did you buy it to concern yourself about how it looks to other people?

    Hi Andrew.
    I agree with you..

Thats why I want to put the 245/70/16 tyres

My disco came already lifted with 275/65/18 from the previous owner...

    Hi Fellipe,
OK, I understand a bit better.
    NOW we are getting somewhere!
    Cheers,

I put 245/75/16s on our previous Disco 1. They were too big, rubbed and caused a steering vibration. 245/70s would have been better. It had a 50mm lift.
