    ECU reprogram with nanocom

    Hi, I've got a 2000 V8 disco 2 (NAS). My mechanic traced a short to my ECU thats been causing havoc with my O2's. I've finally bought a used ECU and borrowed a nanocom from a forum member. I need to install the new ECU and I'm hoping someone can guide mew though this procedure. I know the new ECU has to mate with the truck or it will not start, run, lock/unlock ...pretty much everything.

    So, I've made it that far and tried a couple times now but each time I get "learn security code function terminated" and I'm pretty much dead in the water.

    I haven't found anything regarding this online. Something I thought was going to be so simple has become a huge pain.

    Any ideas on what the "terminated" means? Am I missing something? Unfortunately I cannot access any of the private forums supplied by nanocom.

    Does the nanocom have licence for v8 motronic , can it do any other functions?
