Thread: Stuffed BCU? Dash messing up....

so ive been trying to wire up a light bar and i think i may have somehow messed with the BCU? When i connected the battery back up, lights show on the dash, such as SLS warning, SRS, the right indicator and the left indicator though only half lit, (all this with-out the key in the ignition). the car starts fine, and all lights are fine, but the trip computer disappears when ignition is on and all dials no longer move. I thought i hadn't touched anything to do with the BCU following the wiring diagrams.
I have been using the unused front foglight switch, but getting power from high beam and powering my own relay, i cut the wires where i though they hadnt gone to the BCU yet, just trying to use the switch.
i have since put all wires back and still problem persists.
Any thoughts on what ive messed up, and do you think ive fried the BCU?

All good, just ended up being a blown track behind the instrument panel.
Just got a sparky to fix it, cheap fix at only ~$50.
