Ran the air con today no problems and on a nice sunny 35 in cairns.:D
Bit naive here.
Why change it?
Why change the panel? Mine was in in many pieces and lots of gaps in between. Is a common fault as the plastic gets brittle and a change of windscreen can destroy the plastic one. If this panel has holes, water can get into the fresh air intake on the bulkhead into your blower fan and ingress into you're cab and soak carpets, can wreck the bearings in you're blower fan as well, not to mention leaves, mice, mud getting in there. If you're going to replace ir my as well spend the hard earned on something that will last ( yet to be determined its survivability ):D
Have you priced factory replacement A trims? :D Yes ,A replacement dust wing would be good :) Air ingress for the ventilation system would be no problem as there is heaps of non sealed areas around the cover. Only thing is that there will be no ram air affect for the system. Not a biggy given the fan runs anyway.
Looking at the pics how do you fit them? They have the inside of the pillar plug holes, but do not have the clip holders for the windscreen when viewing the pics of the inside, so no better than using your broken clipped ones. The trim rarely breaks , it's the inner plastic retainer clips on the trim that breaks.
