    fault code po340

    was asked about this today 4.0 ltr d2 throwing po340 camshaft sensor , have replaced with known working one and tested all wiring back to the ecu for continuity any help would be appreciated

    Ken it'll be the crank sensor. I have come across the same scenario and it is odd but true. P0340 code is cam sensor however a crank sensor fault will also throw it too.

    In case that the crankshaft sensor scenario is ruled out and no joy disconnect and check for voltage in the camshaft sensor's plug?... you should get steady ignition feed across pins 1(black wire) -3(brown/pink wire) of it's plug to rule out a bad earth or feed
