    Silicone turbo hoses

    Hi all,
    quick question.
How much difference would/could I expect from fitting a set of silicone turbo hoses to a stock td5 with ~260k on the odometer?
Or is the major benefit only after performance upgrades?
    Thanks,
    JR

If the original hoses are in reasonable condition, there is absolutely no improvement in performance.

That was my experience when I fitted silicone hoses. However, mine are black. I believe the red ones go faster.

Thanks, ill keep an eye out for red ones!!

Maybe the EGR delete may be the better use of funds for perfomance improvement.

Yep , egr delete , remove cat converter if its an eu3 engine , clean your intercooler , Maf and map sensors , all minimal cost stuff that'll bring improvements, can of red paint on the original intercooler hoses and you'll need neck braces for your passengers :-)
