diff pinion bearing? or maybe the dreaded double cardan.
Regards Philip A
My TD5 has developed a high pitch faint whine. It is audible with your foot giving throttle and stops when you back off the pedal.
Knocking it into neutral does nothing (it is an auto)
I have noted the odd clunk from the gearbox when it is put into gear when moving off.
Any ideas? Regards Nick.

I made the 1 millionth AULRO post
Bunged a liter of oil in the transfer case. Seems to have helped a lot but can still hear a faint whine there. Just hope it will heal up!
Now have to learn how to remove the transfer case to fix the seals.
Put new shocks on it yesterday.
It made the ride stiffer but it no longer wallows like a hippo.
I found that the left front hub has a lot of play. Could this be the whine I am hearing?
