    depreciation control valve

    Hi all after fitting a provent200 to my disco td5 I am wondering if I need to leave the depression control valve fitted thanks .

    I would leave it as it only opens when there is low vacuum in the intake tract, ie at low throttle openings.
    At higher throttle openings the valve closes so that all the air goes through the MAF, so the fuel signal will be stronger ie more power.

    +1 for that^^^, that valve is important cos beside the MAF thing it's good to have the pressure in the crankcase under control

    I had a laugh at your Title "Depreciation Valve".
    I thought it was about Range Rovers, the fact that a $300k car can depreciate by a few $100K in a few years=.
    I thought owners would remove the "depreciation valve" to keep the market price up.

    The Provent 200 has a perfectly good depression control valve built-in. I suspect that it will prove more reliable than the slightly suspect original LR item.
    You wont need two.
