I’m guessing the alternator. Have dumped the old girl at the mechanic as I have no time this week to play with her.
I must say the RACV were fantastic. Organised the tow back to my home mechanic for no extra cost and my 4yo got to ride in the truck, made his day!!
Hi Eevo, while additional info is needed but I’ll take a guess and say those voltages were taken with the engine at idle.
If so, with your batteries at 12.3v when you started your testing, my guess is your batteries are pulling a bit of power while they try to charge and this may be pulling the voltage down a little because the alternator is at it’s lowest current output with the motor at idle.
A low current output and a bit of a current load, means the alternator’s Voltage is being pulled down.
This all points to your voltage readings being fine.
Hope this is of some help.
Well yesterday started out changing rear pinion seal, so rear diff is now out and not healthy, so couldn't do more to that.
Next fixed the water leak on the head.
Then decided to fix the leaky fuel cooler that someone else had fixed previously oh yay full of silicone.
Then pulled the alternator out to start rebuilding and replace the oil seals.
Now have a semi disassembled disco...
The easiest fix is to throttle up the motor to about 1,500 RPM and you do your voltage test while the motor is running at road speed RPMs.
Make sure everything else is turned off while you test the voltage.
Testing this way will show you if your alternator is working properly.
Well it finally came in the post today.
I ordered it in November last year so not to bad as it has to come from the U.K. [emoji848] Still worth the wait I’m so happy [emoji51] I guess it’s just the little in life that you make the most of.

Put the new silicone turbo hoses on (Thanks Mario)
Next job is to fix the passenger front window - one of the plastic rollers decided to break off.
