The hose needs to be replaced, the heat is turning it soft and it keeps tearing at the barb on the metal intake pipe.
You should come and teach me how to correctly operate my accelerator pedal :D :p

Enjoy my Little Green friend.
We put a bit more magic into that one - BDM programming allows a lot more alterations than a Nanocom/MSVS write.
Allowing us to alter the entire EEPROMs code..
You have elevated boost cut at 1.5bar so no need for boost boxes etc... And some tweaks to throttle pot reaction...
Hahaha. I'm glad I've got a D4.. Gives me more time to spin spanners on the D2 which is still in the family.
To be expected on a 16 year old vehicle that's used seriously offroad though...
I find the D2 to be a reliable and easy to work on vehicle, and when cared for on a good PM02 [emoji6] it retains this reliability.
Mind you, I have a decent workshop with all the niche tools to make light work of any job it may need...
D2s are a great vehicle.
Took it from Sydney to Cairns, that was over three days, ran really nicely....but then I expected nothing else. Resting up for a couple of days then the good stuff to the tip.
so i hooked the boat up ,,,, ( calm down only a tinny) all up with the trailer 250kg`s ,
and had the engel fridge in the back of the D2 ,,, the fridge only starts when the engine has been running for 30 seconds ,,, >
anyhow ,, stop in town after only 10 k`s and start up ,,, flash flash ,, stuck in 3rd ,
forgot the code reader ,,so off home again ,,,
dodgy battery ,,,
Had a spare at home changed it ,,,
Reset codes ,,
no drama now ,,,
didnt think LED trailer lights and a fridge would cause so many dramas ,,,,
Where to put a AUX battery ???
:censored:
5 or 7 seater? Plenty of AUX posts on here about locations from 2nd under bonnet (either dual battery cage or relocated elsewhere, but too hot for my liking) through to either of the rear wells in a 5 seater. Mine sits in the LHS rear (to balance me in the RHS front) with a half demolished bottom of the cover and a shelf above the battery for odds and sods.
Now I suppose someone will say rude things about no pic!
My Optima Blue Top seems happy after 3.5 years in the under bonnet ARB mount in my TD5.
I have added an extra heat shield and battery wrap and polished up the turbo heat shield.
