Winch mounted last night. Had to make a new lightbar frame so I could fit the control box behind it. (Good chance to test the new welder!)
Will see how much it impacts engine temps in the coming weeks. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/im...018/04/843.jpghttps://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/im...018/04/844.jpg
I had a D2 td5 that did this once - the warning lights gradually all come on as the battery loses charge, then gradually all go out again as the battery cannot even power the warning lights (slightly comical, in hind-sight) .... luckily for me it wasn't too far out of my way to a dealer, and the engine kept going until I tried to put it in reverse at the dealers. It was the alternator in my case. However your alternator was recently replaced - but did you check the charging immediately after the alternator was replaced? Over the 3 days since the alternator install, did the starting of the car become more sluggish? I would be looking to make sure the new alternator was connected correctly, and like others have mentioned checking the charge coming out of it directly, checking earthing etc. Did it come with a warranty ? Sorry , that's all I got.
No charge?, was this new alternator an aftermarket copy? they sometimes fail quickly?
I got a call for help 0700 this morning, The young bloke had hit a roo on the way to a job at Mt Magnet.
