Its weird, mine has only ever had genuine. When it was new I could always hear the filter spin down, these days I cant. I'm not sure if the filter has changed, the car has changed or my hearing has changed. :lol2:

Nevertheless and by way of example it was just 5 weeks ago when i last changed all my fluids and filters and it was a Ryco rotor filter that came out and a Mahle rotor filter that went in. The Ryco always buzzed on spin down however the Mahle is silent. I commonly interchange between those two when purchasing. I actually miss the buzz .... [emoji6]

Re the rotor filter, I've only ever used Mann/Genuine and if I listen vewy vewy carefullwy I can just hear it wind down
