Ok I got the AMC head and I seen the bolts but didn't think it would be better than genuine

I wondered if the AMC head bolts would be as good as the genuine head bolts also, but apparently (according to Bruce) they're a far better set than the genuine ones. Well, thats not actually what he said, he said it was good that I have the AMC ones because the factory ones are ****.
The factory ones I have now are good but the OEM one I had didn't last long
The studs are probably worth more than the car!

Speaking as one who put ARP studs on a 3.9.
Er no, you haven’t seen the car!,Quote:

On way home it became more noticeable but again only on deceleration and disappeared with slight increase in revs. Squeal not evident at any revs when stationary. At home went for a drive and squeal only noticeable after engine at operating temp. Made up a open ended spanner and took off viscous fan and drive belt. Belt ok but some sideways slack in the idler pulley and tensioner pulley - which also had a slight bearing chatter. Purchased parts from Roverlord and package arrived the next day - AusPost almost as quick as Mario and Heather. Fitted new belt, idler and tensioner. Test drive and same squeal when engine warmed up. On Searching forums again - started to think it might be harmonic balancer/pulley or viscous fan bearing...but no squeal when stationary. From further forums maybe rear drive shaft doughnut or auto box as sound may be transmitted along drive line and sounding like originating at front of vehicle. Checked for squeal again today on a drive to get everything at operating temp. Still squeal only under deceleration. Slid under when back home - rear doughnut looks and feels ok - greased shafts and universal joints while there and found that the double universal coupling on the front drive shaft has a slight issue.
Do I pull off shaft and replace universals myself or have it done at a workshop?
Are there any issues driving vehicle without the front shaft fitted.
I’m assuming that the universals are the cause of the squeal.
