From further forums maybe rear drive shaft doughnut or auto box as sound may be transmitted along drive line and sounding like originating at front of vehicle. Checked for squeal again today on a drive to get everything at operating temp. Still squeal only under deceleration. Slid under when back home - rear doughnut looks and feels ok - greased shafts and universal joints while there and found that the double universal coupling on the front drive shaft has a slight issue.
Do I pull off shaft and replace universals myself or have it done at a workshop?
Are there any issues driving vehicle without the front shaft fitted.
I’m assuming that the universals are the cause of the squeal.
Get an new shaft something like glywn Lewis one it's far superior to OEM and to Tom woods and will handle everything you throw at itQuote:
