I got the Hunter Di one and followed your write up. Took me a few attempts to get it working correctly, managed to get the input and output signal switched and then calculated the correction the wrong way, but now it is spot on.

Also picked up the new project yesterday. It has been sitting for about 5 years as best I can tell. Absolutely stock standard, has SLS so that's something new to play with... Needs oil cooler O rings (hopefully the cooler is ok) tyres, a few new hoses and should be ready for rego.

I know the feeling, I am still trying to fix my three amigos problem. Ongoing since Nov 2025. So much so that I am looking at a D4. Daisy might end up being a farm car at Rockleigh.

Excellent, I bet you're feeling pretty satisfied with that done! I felt it fixed the lock up in the auto as well. Some have said it shouldn't affect it, but it does seem to.

Congrats on the new project, the fun never ends! :lol2:

Funny thing is, I've replaced head gaskets, swapped out transmissions etc, none of that worried me in the slightest, but cutting into the wiring and then it not working initially caused me more worry than anything else....
Went for a decent run today with some long hills, everything worked spot on including the cruise control, I did manage to get it to over boost and limp mode kicked in... I have now wound back the waste gate arm a bit more but really the white wagon is running very nicely.

I checked the resistance of all four ABS sensors. They were in the range 1000 - 1100 Ohms. The next step, apparently is raise each wheel and rotate by hand to see what voltage comes out.

Hmmm... ABS is weird.

Just checked my D2. Checked inputs voltages I got LF and LR, 0 volts. RF and RR both at 2.11v and maybe a bit more, as I drove.
Wheel speeds even more weird: both fronts match road speed at 20k/h or more, but both rears stuck at 1.7k/h whether I'm moving or stationary.

Had a peek at some of the pages on the nanocom valves, and next pages showing 'data', nothing out of the ordinary stood out.

All that weirdness on L vs R voltages, and also F vs R speeds ... and never an ABS light shining.

I have done an option B wayyyy back ... does option B sort of cancel out ABS warnings or something?

I've had amigos(can't remember why) so ABS light can come on, again was years ago, and does light up at Ign on.

I dismantled huge amounts of trim in the passenger footwell to access the earth point for the WABCO ECU. The bolt and nut is nice and bright and shiny. Tonight I'll see if I can get a socket on it, to check tightness. I'll also check the continuity of the earth lead from the multiplug. There is another earth point under the battery tray, however, two of the bolted are very rusted. I cannot see how that earth point could affect the BCU. The earth points for the WABCO ABS pump also checks out ok. I have ordered the shuttle valve assembly.

Are any faults shown in the SLABS controller?

Or do you just get the lights on the dash?

Changed both of my o2 sensors as they were both cactus after a head gasket had gone.
It runs well now, still slightly smoking but I'm guessing it may have a lot of crap to clear out.
Oh, and it seems that the power steering pump has given up now though.
For reference it has been sat for 5 years post head gasket failure in someone's yard up in NSW, and I'm slowly recommissioning/restoring it.

Hmm. Check also all the earth wires going to and from. Any green stuff at all needs to be chopped out and repaired. It can hide under the insulation, but a firm (!) pull will usually show a break.

I have a shuttle valve here you could have tried. But of course it may be just the same.
