..and btw this is not exclusive to LR aftermarket. My boys have 5 Nissan Patrols between them and after suffering repeated failures with non gen parts they now shell out for genuine. ..and they last like the original parts were designed to...for years and years.

An old friends wife once said when they were looking at ride on mowers...

"We are too poor to be cheap!"

I reckon that's a great line to live by.

All i will say is if anyone wants a hand doing this run away as it is a bitch of a job in the driveway .

Fairly disappointed once i filled it up and over $200.00 later there was a slight leak

There was a slight weep at one of the weld seams better than one of the hoses leaking as they are a dead set bitch to get at
Quick drive down to AutoBarn and some Permatex tank repair job done
The joys of buying second hand huh !

The ski boat rolled into the rear bumper.... crunchy went the plastic.... then it took 1.5 days in 40 degrees to get boat up and running... lucky I am working through my Land Rover Mechanics apprenticeship... patience and resilience have increased since I enrolled...

Anyone put reversing sensors on a replacement steel rear bumper?

A rear view camera is a better option, as you can see whats going on, reverse sensors drive you crazy at times, you pass a bush or something and they go off all the time.

I have a reversing camera on the 79 series that is mounted directly over the towball that allows me to back up to a trailer/van within 1/2 inch of the coupling, If I had had this on my D2a I wouldn't have done so much damage to the plastic bumper
Reversing cameras are dirt cheap and vision is the Best sensor anyway and I am thinking of fitting one to the new steel bumper , Not so much because I am worried about damaging the bumper But mainly because it makes hooking up a trailer Sooooo much easier

No, but our work cars all have them as well as reversing cameras. Everyone turns the sound down to mute as they’re annoying. Plus realistically if you hit anything as you’re reversing with a camera you should probably review your driver status.

Radiator, thermostat, egr cooler out. New radiator and thermostat in.

I replaced the radiator and thermostat in the Disco. One simple sentence. Nine words, close on 9 hours all up. I also removed the EGR cooler and its plumbing.

The good thing is that simple sentence had an ending.

Yes I miss the reverse camera from our Volvo... yes I drove a Volvo....
reverse camera would not have stopped the ski boat rolling forward out of the shed....
