Just a heads up after I changed the oil a couple of days ago.
DO NOT FIT AN ALLMAKES FILTER.
They are about 13MM longer than a Mahle and that means you cannot get the filter tool under them between the turbo drain and the filter.
I finally cut my steel tool down to about 5MM and managed to get it around the filter.
I knew it was going to be a struggle after the drama fitting it, so removed my second battery cradle beforehand.
Then the battle was to actually get it out, and resulted in spilling the contents everywhere.

Also one of the two Mahle spinners I bought from Mario at Rovalord was too tight on the shaft to spin freely, and Mario kindly sent me another one . The other one was OK. Unusual but check that the spinner spins freely before replacing the lid.
    Rant over.
    Regards PhilipA

I'll only use Mann or Genuine LR (Mann) for the centrifugal.
Happy to use Mahle for the full flow and fuel filters.

    Driver's window not working

Yesterday my driver's window refused to lower. Car full of flies. The passenger one still works, so not the fuse. Any ideas where is a good place to start?
    Thanks,

The Return of the Three Amigos

Only this time the error message is Left Rear Sensor Output Low 16 times. I am in for a new hub, which comes with a new sensor and as an added bonus, new bearings!
Now to watch a few videos to see how to do this.

I had this message once long long ago.
I fixed it by just pulling apart the connector near the rear axle and cleaning it with contact cleaner.
Nanocom will give you the values.
Unless you have other concerns like bearing noise try that first.
    Regards PhilipA

Back in August 2014 I changed the INJECTOR HARNESS on my TD5 and today (and 120,000kms later) I unplugged the engine harness where it connects to the injector harness socket and found it absolutely dry indicating that no capillary action is happening. I’d like to think it is because i took the trouble to “pot” the wire to pin connections in new harness socket with high temperature oil resistant silicone type filler, however time will tellWhat happened to your Discovery 2 today?
