It's like anything, the first time is always a **** fight, you need work out the work arounds.
After a few times it starts to become automatic and a bucket load faster.

The steel bar is flat. However I had a quick fiddle with Tinkercad and produced a 3D file to make a wedge so the camera looks down.

had both the low water alarm followed shortly by the overheat alarm[104 deg] attached to the head go off in quick succession because of that bloody small rad hose hose blowing, the standard temp gauge as usual didn't move off normal, anyone who dosn't fit these aftermarket guages is bloody mad or rich or both.

They're quite nice, I've got the m6,m8,m6 ones. Don't be like me and cheap out and not get the negative cover cos with both of them covered it looks very oem. Totally imagine things would be tight with dual batteries, honestly if I do a second battery it'll live elsewhere.

That and the occasional modification, mine's got a few more rivnuts and a few less plastic fasteners than it started with. Replaced the turbo cover rivets with them too so we'll see if that makes things easier or not.

I recently bought one of these Unilug battery terminals from $$ARB but available on Fleabay . Really solid and well made. The secondary SAE lug is removable so you can have two M8 studs with multiple cables on each. They are 28mm high with cover on.

My D2 had a visit from the four amigos today - it is nice to have company! I suspect a front wheel bearing is going as I reset on Nanocom and the amigos return after a hard right corner. Must be pretty sensitive as I can't feel any clearance.

At about 3am this morning I woke up, thought I heard something
I'm laying there half asleep when I think I hear a motor, because my residence is behind the Roadhouse I was trying to think if a fridge motor noise has changed, sort of still asleep so couldn't get my head around it.
Then I hear a "Crunch", just after that I hear a Land Rover TD5's distinctive revving sound!
I jump out of bed, grab my torch/spotlight & run for the door, fly outside (the car is parked under shade sails directly outside) to see ...............

One of my Foster Boys getting out of the drivers side!!
He had woken up & decided to go for a drive, snuck into my bedroom, got the key out of my bedside table, got into & started the car & tried to back the Disco out.
Unfortunately, or fortunately depending, he failed to close the drivers door which he crunched into the Roadhouse.
Now, I did go OFF a little bit waking up everybody else that lives at the Roadhouse.

I don't where he thought he was going to go? We live in a compound with a great big steel fence, locked gate, keys on different keyring.
I don't know why he decided to do this? But, he is well & truly grounded + has lost all devices rights.
He is 17, has a Learners & suffers from FAS, ranting, raving & carrying on will do little to help, so this morning it was a quite talk to tell him how upset, disappointed & ****ed off I am. I think he knows how silly/stupid he was.

So Monday it's onto insurance then try to find time to get it to a panel beater & organize a new door skin, that seems to be the only thing he has damaged, the front guard looks OK.

Life can be a Bloody trial at times!

As you can see the LH pipe has partially come out of the swage and was slightly leaking.
    NOT long to go IMHO.
    The RH pipe is perfect.
From reports I have seen the LH pipe seems to be the one that goes.
I think it is the hot pipe as the sensor is on The RH side presumably after the cooler.
So the **** of a job was maybe worth it.
All finished now and the transmission took almost 8 litres so that dribble down overnight was significant.

    Regards PhilipA
Well after doing a pre-trip look over I found a very similar thing

    IMG_0245.jpg

This is the passenger side which I have sourced but as yet no luck with the drivers side which looks to be in very good order but will change it out because I'm guessing they are the same age.
Think I caught it just in time as it has just started to weep.
Thanks to Phillip and Rick who have just done the same, reading your posts made me go and check lol
