The cap screws are 12.9's rather than 8.8's so a lot stronger than the factory bolts I would expect. I don't think regular bolts will fit the mounts.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

Someone had been there before me. Flat head screwdriver and it was off in seconds.

Something may have been lost in the transition, but what I think you meant to convey was, Toyota were born to be towed by Land Rovers.

    Leaking ACE rear pipe

    For the second time!
Rear sway bar link failed and allowed the ACE pipes to float around resulting in wearing through and leaking.
Fortunately this time driver noticed the red ACE warning light on the dash and we didn't lose all the fluid resulting in a destroyed pump last time.
In the market for some replacement pipes if you have any lying around.

Speedo finally failed for good today.
Formerly it used to work after about 5 minutes of starting from cold, but not anymore.
Also, detected a miss occasionally on number 8 cylinder, so time to install the new leads I bought a while back.
Another fun job. What happened to your Discovery 2 today?
