Don't think they are any better I suggest you swap them out with hel or good ridge before it happens again

They've been on for a while. I'll see how they go.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

I've gone through a couple too, mine have all failed like that and in the rear - never the front. I'm not sure if you can still buy new OE ones any more.

You should do a build thread on this.

Already worked out a solution to it.

I may do a thread, but when I’m in the build mode I often forget to stop and take pics.

    New Shoes

Got my new shoes today and did a full transmission service, filter n all. Anyone done before? I was finding it hard to get 4th gear sometimes and slow to take up drive / reverse. Fluid level seemed ok.

Decided to pull the pan and pull the filter out. The new filter comes with O rings that go around the pickup tube and top inlet feed into the tranny but the one I took out has no O rings? seems odd. I would have thought without them you would get air getting sucked in from higher up that’s not submersed in the oil. Maybe someone in in the past did a **** poor job.

New shoes , 16x8 30 offset dynamics's on some muds. 285/75/16, had to trim some of the side step and the inner part of the lower door sill plastic that runs down the car. I feel like driving over every thing now. happy days. Also will have to mod the rear wheel holder to fit.

Fantastic, a couple of years ago I bought the last out of Trivetts, but it must have just been the last of their stock at the time in that case rather that there not being any more left from the factory.

Thanks for this! I don't think the aftermarket ones are much chop.
    Cheers
