Spotlight Issues ? Need Advice or tips

Just recently purchased my disco 2 and it has hella spotlights installed.

Cant seem to figure out if they work or not as I know the button is on the left of the wheel under the other light functions (a cruise control button has been used).

I can seem to get them to function and I am doubtful its the globes and no i haven't tried replacing them yet.

Is there any ideas or tricks to the spotlights ? ive also tried the button with all other light functions on/off eg high beams on.

    Cheers

    are they fused?
and they should turn off when you dip your high beam.

I tried following the wire and I think it bypasses the fuse box entirely and disappears into the firewall

I would hope the actual lamp wiring goes to a relay,,
the wiring through the firewall should only switch the relay on or off. Dont power the lights through a dash switch.

If you are using a normal relay as supplied in a lighting kit the dash switch won't work this has something to do with the relays land rover use. You can use the supplied relay for your driving lights but the land rover switch will need the land rover relay someone here would be able to tell you what theses relays are as I am not an auto electrician.

Start at one end (eg switch or lights) with a 12v test light or multi meter and work towards the other end. Spotlights should only come on when on high beam. As you don't know if ever worked start at the switch like you have done. 12v in? Yes or no. If no chase the supply wire to where it goes. If yes, follow the 12v towards the spotties.
