    turbo overboost

I had my boost perfect when i went to the beach over the march long weekend.
But the other week the nut came loose and it went into over boost gets to 21.8psi with less than half throttle. Which eventually makes it throw a Driver Demand 1 fault.

I have adjusted the waste gate probably 4-5 full turns now. And still cant use much more than half throttle.
Wast gate modulator is relatively new, but I am thinking of bypassing it.

Before the longweek end it was only running 15psi. Changed to 20psi and it was perfect.

    Anyone got any ideas?
I do have a warped manifold that is now on the todo list. As its leaking above the back exhaust port. But I can see how that would effect max boost.

Try freeing up the wastegate, and make sure the actuator is working, also check carefully the hoses from the intercooler pipe through the modulator to the actuator for holes/ splits

After all the things pointed by discorevy are ruled out and the symptom persists if you have tester see some live data for the TP sensor way(track) 1 input cos that fault code is referring to that, you should have got overboost fault code for overboost IMO but if track 1 is too high the ECU will consider full throttle but comparing with track 2 which is high as well will throw that fault code...though this depends much on the fuel map version too
    Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned

When I adjust it in early march. I actually pulled the disconnected the waste gate from the actuator and it moved full travel with no sticky spots.

I will have a good look at those hoses. I didnt think of them being split.

I had a look at those tracks on my Nanocom. I will find a spare SD card and do some saving. But it has done a similar issue where it goes overboost. And then seems to cut power until fault cleared even on cruise.

It also brings up a High angle crank fault.
