Running King springs +50mm, standard duty in front, heavy duty in rear. Ride is excellent when loaded though think rears starting to sag a little after 4 years/50,000km. Car has 140L petrol and 80L LPG on board so rear springs have worked hard.

Kings springs standard height but heavy duty on mine - restored the height to standard with the Arb steel bar and winch up front.

How can changing the springs require changes to the cross member? I thought that maximum droop was limited by shock absorber open length, not spring length or weight.

I just changed my front & rear springs & shocks a few weeks ago. I've got a D2 TD5. I've installed OME medium springs all round and matching OME shocks. Best of all, with no mechanical knowledge I've installed it all myself. I just bought a coil Spring compressor from Supercheap for about $40 or so. Easy job. All up took 1/2 day or so.

I've got the same but air springs in the rear. The OME has settled after 30k to be a nice extra inch. Ride is pretty good.

I went OME because a friend worked there and I got a discount. People also seem to rate dobinsons highly.
