Campaign D169 - fuel pipe damage

I had been informed by LR HQ that my Discovery 2a had the recall operation but now find after removing the fuel tank etc that it had not in fact been done

I am interested to know if anyone else had been misinformed about this recall or did you have a fuel line problem despite having had the recall
    Thanks
    Joe

If you are talking about the green pipe, my now departed D2a rubbed through 3 of these even with the recall done. The recall just replaces the pipe, it doesn't fix the rubbing point. I ended up fixing it myself by wrapping the pipe in split rubber hose.

    Hah!
Mine apparently was done in about 2004-5 as the hose date was newer than the car , which was a 2002.

However the "dealer technician" left the small loom and plug for the level sensor ( I assume as mine has springs) lying on the green pipe so it wore through on the GRR didn't it.
Now is wrapped in soft tape and the sensor wire is zipped to the green pipe.

    Thanks Chris & Philip
I believe the mod is easily identifiable once the tank is removed but not so otherwise.
I have redirected all the lines & hopefully no more trouble but this should never have happened. LR say it is a dealer matter & refuse to partake any further
Incidentally, any gyro drivers in our midst?
