    D2 Oxygen Sensors

I need new pre cat 02 sensors for my D2. I have been quoted about $200 each which seems excessive. I read in an older post that you may be able to use generic Bosch sensors that you can get for about $60 each. Can anyone confirm this or add any useful info?

Hi, yes the generic o2 sensors work just fine I run them in mine. My original ones were extended to suit my extractors but these were a bit longer so didn't need extending just needed to release the plug from its holder.

    Cheers,
    Albert

    I recently bought these,
Pair 4 Wire Bosch Holden Commodore VS VT VU VX VY Exhaust Oxygen O2 Sensors | eBay

and combined them with some second hand D2 sensors (just need the connectors really)to make these,
    not installed yet--
    so no proof of life.
but will be very surprised if they dont work,,

it would seem my last set were poisoned by a head gasket failure with the leaking coolant ruining the sensors.
Imagine that! The BSL needing head gaskets? who woulda thought?
    A BSL double whammy.

Thanks heaps for that. Less money I spend on my Disco - the more I get to spend on the wife's Territory!

I used Britpart ones to replace mine. I know what some people say about that brand but all I can comment on was the performance improvement was amazing.

I guess it underlined how bad the originals ones had got!

    Cheers, Jerry
