Bubbles in the coolant resivoir? Last week my td5 dropped coolant temperature, when i check the fluid levels, levels were good but it seemed quite aerated to me. Please tell me the head gasket isnt on the way out, i just bought the damn thing. Temp seems to be fine now......
open the coolant cap when its stone cold and give it a start. give it a few seconds and if you can see its blowing bubbles you've probably got a blown head gasket.Quote:

Maybe get a compression tester on it before deciding to rip the head off?
