Engine miss
Hi all
Just a quick question my td5 has developed a miss at around 2200-2500rpm it's almost like an injector has missed a cycle any help would be good I replaced the injection harness about 3 or 4 years ago. As this has only just started I haven't looked at the car yet but some direction as to where to start would be great thanks for any help Phil.

I'd start with replacing the loom.
I seem to recall that was about the rpm mine was missing at when the loom was stuffed.

It's prob worth unplugging the injector harness at the head to check for oil first. You can do this with just the plastic acoustic cover removed.
Cheers

I would have a look down behind the battery box at wear the main section of engine loom crosses over your ACE hydraulic lines. I have seen a few cases (my TD5 included) where the loom has rubbed up against the lines causing it to wear through and short out.

It could still be rubbing in that area even if its on the chassis. Worth a quick look anyway
