    D2 TD5 Front Springs

    Hello!

Was sick of the front bottoming out while touring with std shocks and springs.

I fitted Koni RAID shocks front and rear, then King KRFS-06 springs.

Ride over snotty ground was fantastic but I found the ride height too high (there's no added weight added to the front). I adjusted the rear up a bit (SLS recalibration) which made the back end a bit harsh.

Then fitted Pedders 7458's and was very happy.

Then did the Monkey Gum track - lots of full articulation - and noticed clunking.

I understand the Koni RAID shocks have extra travel over standard and I think the clunking is the springs reseating.

Question: Does anyone know of a front spring with a rate similar to the King KRFS-06 but with increased 'droop' capabilities and ride height no more than 20mm above stock (stock ride height would be preferred)?

    cheers!

I fitted 2 +20mm front springs bought from Suspension Stuff and was very pleased with the result with std dampers. (MY2000 TD5 SLS). They are the same free length as standard springs but slightly stiffer. Raised the front ~20mm and no hitting the stops.

Have you lowered your crossmember - front driveshaft may be hitting it.
