that's not to say that somebody else may not get great performance out of their set. I find that there are so many variables when selecting and using tyres.
on the blacktop with normally loaded vehicle and sensible driving techniques you may well get excellent performance and wear. In my case, I have a fully loaded D2 TD5 at about 3000kg all up (2500kg for D2 + 110L fridge/freezer and a **** load of tools) pulling a 6.5m caravan just shy of 3000kg all over WA... a lot of it through some pretty nasty countryside. It still amazes me as to what a great workhorse land rover actually made. :)
I had a set of Duratracs in 245/75R16 and suffered a wire through the side wall on one and a leak that no one has been able to locate on another.
I thought it was just me with punctures.
I liked them on and off road when the managed to keep the air in them.
I'm currently using 245/75R16 Bridgestone D674. Good off road but noisy on road.
I'm running LT245 75 16, BFG's. I haven't had any issues. I have noticed that the speedo is exactly right. You know how some cars say ur doing 100 when gps has u at 95, mine is doing 100 at 100
