As per normal with APT GREAT product built and sold by a great fella for a great price. I mean why go Terrafirma...or Kaymar when APT is made here and is the best quality parts I have seen and cheaper than the other offerings.

Anywhere in Australia just order it and be confident in the order.

I'm very happy with my rear bar and it looks exactly like yours however didn't get it from APT. Got it thru LRA here in Thomastown interestingly it came in original BRITPART packaging. It's heavier guage than my TJM front bar.[/QUOTE]

Just measured and the APT bar hangs out 60mm less than the narrowest part of the plastic bar and about 100mm less than the wide bump bits of the old plastic bar...so very worthwhile just for that if doing more difficult tracks. Cheers

Finally got around to adding some fittings back on. Air bag valves and trailer plug. Anderson and trailer camera plug still to go. Love working in steel. Cheers20170326_162543.jpg20170326_162524.jpg

    Hi all

Has anyone put an APT rear bar on with the jerry can holder? Still trying decide on a bar like this as water carrying is a big issue with the TD5

    Cheers

Hi Luke. I pestered Ben for a while but I don't think he had resolved a design he was happy with. In the end I favoured a clean look and lower weight so far back from the axle and went with his standard 4mm bar. I am putting 2 x water Jerrys on the back seat with seatbelt and 3 cam straps. They are plumbed to a tap and foodsafe tubing.

    Cheers

I too, carry my water amid ship…. perhaps stowing a D2 is worthy of its own topic and so not wishing to hijack this thread may i suggest that a rear seat can be easily removed and then your jerrycans can stand on a flat base and be secured back onto your cargo barrier. My rear seats are permanently out of the vehicle and another cargo barrier installed behind the front seats. A water jerry and a fuel jerry (diesel NOT petrol) sit in a tray and are secured to the front cargo barrier.

Nice work mate. I tie mine back to the cage and also under the seat using its strength also. At present the kids love coming along so rear seat has to stay in.
