    Thanks Rover lord!

Looks like the previous owner ran the wiring for driving lights through this hole. I had the. followed suit when I ran wiring for my rear view mirror through here too.

Is this not where auxiliary wires are usually run through?

Pool noodle worked a treat as a grommet for now. Will visit some wreckers In the next few weeks to see if I can get my hands on a proper grommet.

Would like to avoid permanently riverting the hole shut as I like the access for wiring to pass through

What are the Autotechnica seats seats like?
I find my standard MY2000 cloth seats hard and uncomfortable, and have been thinking about alternative seats for ages.
They also seem to bulky, restricting my legroom, and legroom in the rear seats as well.

Funny, cos my old D1 seats were far more comfortable. I could drive 800kms without squirming. In the D2, I'm swapping cheeks after 200kms.

Neltronics rear view mirror with GPS

How are you finding your Neltronics rear view mirror with GPS?

I have been looking at their reversing camera. Is the screen size ok?

You would be better off getting some D2 leather electric seats, multi positional, including lumbar support and also some are heated.

I managed to grab a set for $500, 2 minutes with the Nanocom and bingo .... instant comfort and luxury.

After fitting a CDL linkage it's my second favourite mod to the car.

Yet to wire up the camera but the screen size is pretty good for navigation. With the speedo out, I’m using the gps Speedo and never struggle with glare or anything.

I wonder how hard I need to go/what situation I need to be in to have it the cdl engage.

Nice looking rig.....but just to confirm the cdl, its an actual lever not any type of electrical aid like the traction system.....you physically move a lever attached to a cable that in turn moves a spigot on the transfer case to engage the centre diff lock to turn the car from what is basically an AWD into an actual 4WD because I know these may have traction control etc... but it is still an AWD car without that centre diff locked!..... Common misconception is that any car is a 'permanent 4WD', no road going car is that until the centre diff is locked.......as has been said, the best mod to do to these is the cdl, even land rover decided they did need it after all and put it back in for the D2a models!......
