Hey Rick, thats exciting about the upcoming D2!
I believe that the rotors are DBA cast and machined and all done in Australia - the rears are special order if you want them slotted. The DBA front set that I took off really had a lot of life still left in them and were looking fantastic. The rears were OE and looked grooved and spent. In comparison to the DBA, the OEs really are a poor quality rotor.
With the Yellow stuff pads I really am just so impressed. Seriously, even now every time I brake in it I think about how good the brakes are - I think the pads have a lot to do with this.
On another note, the old Greenstuff 2000 series (NOT the current crappy Greenstuff 6000 series), I really liked. You could feel them come on and stick as they warmed up while you braked and would pull up really well. These Yellowstuff pads are bang on from cold and they are very consistent in friction.
