Anyone had a leak from top of fuel tank?

It is possible to fit the pump incorrectly also. If you do this the fuel will leak out the main round seal at the top. The fuel fills up the well the pump sits in and only comes out when it splashes out.
To check if this is the case, fill it up with fuel. When the bowser clicks off slowly fill the tank as if you were trying to fill it to the brim of the filler inlet. You will not be able to do this because the fuel will leak out the top of the tank onto the ground as you try to fill it.

Call it crude but it is simple.

Also if you have to force it to fit the locking ring then something is not right. We had a customer destroy his pump by standing on it and broke the pipe fittings.

Haven't had chance to look yet but guessing fuel hose into pump because it's requiring longer priming times in the morning (and if you don't give it that ignition on 4 or 5 seconds priming it takes noticeably longer to start than normal). So assuming green fuel connector is in properly it would be receiver side of pump that isn't sealing properly. I will inspect but probably up for new pump. Cheers

Poor starting on a dual fuel D2 would be more likely caused by a faulty non return valve in the pump, allowing the line pressure to drop rapidly on shut down. New pump is really the only answer to the problem.

Turned out to be like one or 2 others overseas have found...little white bit with seal. Hairline crack. Replaced. Cheers

Apparently the diesels do the rubbing through fuel line trick. They must route hose differently to petrol models. Cheers
