    hill decent not working

Hi all it seems my hill decent isn't working and I am unsure if the abs is working I have done option B to the abs modulator and changed the brake fluid. A land rover specialist done the brake fluid no three amigos but it seems no abs or hill decent I do have traction control any help would be much appreciate.

    Hil Descent

HDC seems to cut in at quite a high speed. Faster than I was happy with. I used engine braking, much slower.

IMO as long as the proper gear is selected HDC will work in addition to engine braking if you see what i mean.... it wont move faster with HDC than the engine lets it, so it can kick in or not the engine brake is the same,

In second gear I was at 10kph, too fast for the slope. In first gear, nice and gentle and the HDC did not kick in for either gear. I's always take a lower gear and go slooowly.

But traction control works via ABS...

Some answers to items previously mentioned may help to narrow it down....

But I do agree with Bohica, D2 HDC cuts in at a speed way to high for a serious steep hill. From memory I think you are be doing 7 km/hr before HDC cuts in... which in some places is twice the speed you want to be doing! I think it was improved in the D2 update....

Like any other ABS feature HDC will work well only with std dimension tyres, the bigger the tyres are the worst the system will work
